Empire of the Summer Moon, by S.C. Gwynne
Award-winning book on the life of the great Comanche chief, Quanah Parker, his white captive pioneer mother and his historic battle for the West.
Great rec…this book has gotten high, high marks on Amazon where I bought it. A good read and fab history of our less than stellar settlement of the west. We just took what we wanted…shameful.
